Lance A. Twitchell is a mulitmedia artist from the Tlingit, Haida, and Yup’ik Native Nations.  He currently lives in Fairbanks, where he teaches writing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.  Through his experience with his grandfather Si Dennis, interactions with the community of Native Northwest Coast Arts, and with support of his family, Lance has developed artistic talents in poetry, fiction, non-fiction, traditional Northwest Coast design, and traditional & contemporary music.  While working for the Skagway Traditional Council and the Organized Village of Kasaan, he developed competence in computer & network maintenance, graphic & web design, and in Tribal program management.
